GOSHEN —
Willard and Joy (Evashenko) Slabaugh, Wakarusa, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married April 22, 1962, in Eugene, Ore.
There will be a surprise anniversary open house for them today from 2 to 4 p.m. at the North Main Street Mennonite Church, Nappanee.
Their children include Scott (Pati) Slabaugh, Goshen, Pam Slagle, Nappanee, Phil Slabaugh (companion Jessica), Argos, and Missie (John) Tener, Nappanee. They have 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He worked in sales at Wakarusa Farm Center until they closed, then worked at Raber Patio Enclosures until his retirement. She is a retired registered nurse.
