Fred and Virginia (Lewallen) Brock, Shipshewana, are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.
They eloped to Ohio April 18, 1942.
Their children include Bonnie Lange, Goshen, Jon (Susie) Brock, Bakersfield, Calif., Ginna McFarren, Shipshewana, and daughter-in-law, Roseann Brock. Their son Tom Brock, is deceased. They have 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He worked at C&P Oil Company in Millersburg for 22 years and she retired from Monsanto, Ligonier. The couple retired together from San Dimas Mobile Home Park in California and returned to Indiana in 2001.
Everyone is invited to a surprise open house anniversary party for the Brocks April 15 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Millersburg fire station.
