GOSHEN —
Nevin and Carolyn (Bontrager) Albrecht, Goshen, recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
They were married Dec. 24, 1947, at Emma Mennonite Church, Topeka, by Russell Krabill.
Their children hosted a weekend reunion in May at Amigo Center in Sturgis, Mich., to begin their anniversary celebration. Family members also visited the Albrechts at their home over the Christmas holiday to celebrate their anniversary.
Their children include Jerry and Barbara Albrecht, Goshen, Lola and Merrill Gingerich, Milford, Sharlene and Don Patterson, Kalona, Iowa, and Lynn and Kathy Albrecht, Edwardsburg, Mich. They have 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was a dairy farmer, worked at Richardson’s Mobile Home Factory and had his own business in landscaping and excavating. He did maintenance work for Mennonite Mutual Aid and Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary and did plant care for AMBS, MMA and Hively Avenue Mennonite Church. He retired in 1990.
She retired in 1990 and is a homemaker. She worked as a secretary at Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary and in diagnostic testing at Miles Laboratory. She volunteered at Ten Thousand Villages.
