GOSHEN —
Wilbur and Deloris (Weaver) Babcock, Fort Collins, Colo., former residents of Harrison Township, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married Jan. 1, 1953, at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, Goshen, by Ivan Weaver, uncle of the bride.
The couple served two years in Voluntary Service under the Mennonite Mission Board at the Mennonite Hospital in LaJunta, Colo. They made their home in Harrison Township until his transfer to California with Skyline Mobile Homes. They moved to Alaska in 1969 and in 1979 moved to Colorado. She graduated from Wakarusa High School in 1950 and worked as a school teacher and church secretary.
They have four children, Brent (Ruth) Babcock and Karen (Mike) DeVaney, both of Homer, Alaska, and Cheryl (Randy) Frosh, Fort Collins, Colo.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Their son, Bruce Babcock, is deceased.
