GOSHEN — Merritt and Mamie (Schmidt) Kyle, Ligonier, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married Nov. 25, 1962 at St. Mark’s Methodist Church by Rev. Milton G. Person.

They held an open house Sept. 22 at the Cromwell Library as a celebration.

Their children include Beverly (Robert) Mace, Ligonier, Rhonda (Kevin) Sharp, Kendallville, and Donna (Todd) Wooten, New Paris. They have seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He retired from Tenneco Company in 2005. She retired from Kraft Foods in 2009.
