Richmond 50th

GOSHEN — Tom and Terry (Pippenger) Richmond, Nappanee, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married Aug. 6, 1961, at the Nappanee Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Emmerick.

Their children include Bob and Troy (Richmond) Yoder, Plymouth, Tom and Lindsay Richmond and Todd and Sue Ann Richmond, all of Nappanee. They have 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He retired from Borkholder Buildings in 2003 and worked in missions for Nappanee Missionary Church until 2007.

She retired from the children’s department of Nappanee Missionary Church this year.

Last week North Carolina voters elected to amend their state Constitution to define marriage as between one man and one woman, effectively banning gay unions in that state.
