Fourteen month-old Bella, shares a puzzle with her mother, Krista Marvel of Goshen, during the "Babies & Books" program at the Middlebury Public Library. This new library program, which meets on Thursdays at 10 a.m. is for babies up to 18 months old. Babies & Books is designed to foster an enjoyment of words, rhythm and rhyme through age-appropriate activities. It is also open to older siblings who are encouraged to bring along their own “baby” (teddy bear or doll) to participate in the activities. This program is taught by Mary Gilbert, Youth Services librarian. Call the library at 825-5601 to register.
