Easements approved for Greenway
GOSHEN, Ind — The end is slowly coming into sight for phase V of the Maple City Greenway.
The Board of Public Works and Safety accepted 15 easements within the city and an additional six from the county for the final leg of the bicycle/pedestrian trail during its meeting Monday afternoon. That leg will travel along Wilden Avenue from Georgia Street to Indiana Avenue, where it will curve south in front of the west side of Oakridge Cemetery, through the cemetery along its south side to Rock Run Creek.
The board also approved two agreements with Troyer Group for local projects. The company will provide engineering services for plans and specifications for the rehabilitation of the Murray Street Bridge at a cost of approximately $25,000, and provide consulting services for the millrace powerhouse restoration project at a cost of $60,000.
