Pursuit starts in Mich., ends outside New Paris

NEW PARIS — A multiple police agency pursuit lead to the arrest of Mark Leahy, 46, 69247 Davis St., Edwardsburg, Mich., after he crashed his 1993 Geo Tracker at C.R. 17 and C.R. 46 near New Paris at 12:52 p.m. Tuesday. The pursuit began in Edwardsburg, when Leahy fled Edwardsburg police. The pursuit continued in St. Joseph and Elkhart counties, with Elkhart County police joining the chase. Leahy was arrested on a charge of felony resisting law enforcement and operating a vehicle while intoxicated and incarcerated at the Elkhart County Jail.
