ELKHART —
A former Elkhart resident now starring on Disney Channel programs, along with another Disney star will be in Elkhart Friday signing autographs, while collecting food for a local food pantry and raising money for a scholarship.
Actress Audrey Whitby, who used to perform with the Elkhart Civic Theatre and now stars on Disney’s “So Random,” will be at Church Community Services with her “So Random” co-star Allisyn Ashley Arm.
The outreach program and autograph signing party will take place at Church Community Services’ food warehouse, 907 Oakland Ave., Elkhart, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The public is invited. The only entry “cost” is the donation of non-perishable food items for the food pantry and $1 for the Elkhart Civic Theatre’s Glenn Gosling and Lillian Conley Scholarship Fund.
Along with food and a $1 donation, fans of the Disney stars can take along a book or stuffed animal to be signed. The actresses will also have photos and articles on hand to sign. There will be episodes of “So Random” for the public to view, too.
“Audrey and Allisyn are grateful for the public, and want to do something to help the community that Audrey was once a part of,” said John Shoup, artistic director at Elkhart Civic Theatre. “The girls and ECT team felt that with this event, CCS will help many deserving families, as well as help Elkhart Civic Theatre give back to local college students through its scholarship program.”
Rod Roberson, executive director of Church Community Services, stated in a press release, “It’s fun to get unique opportunities like this to spread the word about what we do. The giving spirit of these two young women, and the fact that they choose to direct it to our community says a lot to us here in Elkhart. We’ve seen lots of local young people getting involved in service to their neighbors. Audrey and Allisyn are showing that our neighborhood is even larger than we thought.”
About Audrey
Audrey started her career in community theater in northern Indiana at the age of 6. By age 11, Audrey was an American Girl doll model, starred in many commercials and had been in more than 50 musical theater productions.

About Allisyn
Allisyn is 16 years old and has been acting professionally for more than a decade, with many television and movie roles including: “Judging Amy,” “Still Standing,” “Friends” and “King of California.” Allisyn has also found success on the stage, as a voice-over artist and in commercials (more than 50).
