GOSHEN —
Bashor Children’s Home held its annual awards and recognition banquet March 23.
The event, hosted by local TV personality Gary Sieber, honored staff and community partners for their commitment to helping children.
Bashor Children’s Home staff Michelle Hill and Innocent Mashakiro were honored as Staff of the Year, and Alex Edlund received the Rookie of the Year award.
Interra Credit Union was recognized as the community partner of the year for its support of Bashor throughout the year.
Others receiving awards were:
• Outstanding Foster Parents — Nick and Cindy Robinson;
• Church of the Year — Green Center United Methodist Church;
• Donor of the Year — Jay and Marilyn Morris;
• Volunteer of the Year — Dr. John Stewart, a dentist from Dunlap, for the numerous hours he has given to ensure the children at Bashor receive the proper dental hygiene they need.
• Chairman’s Choice — Board member Marcia Eppers for her active participation on the Board of Directors.
