GOSHEN —
After 13 years of schooling, thousands of local high school seniors will be receiving their diplomas in the coming two weeks.
These will be the students who learned to sing their ABCs in kindergarten, ran with joy on the playgrounds during elementary school recesses, who got lost when they had to go between classes down the new and mysterious middle school hallways, and who, while in high school physical education class, learned just how long a quarter mile can be when running around the school track.
Now, the classes of 2012 have a few more days to complete their classwork, tell classmates “let’s keep in touch,” and worry if that odd shaped graduation cap will stay on during their walk across the school stage.
Westview High School will begin the series of graduations Friday and the West Noble Charges will finish it off on June 10. In between, Fairfield, Bethany, NorthWood, Goshen, Northridge, Concord and Wawasee seniors will get their turns to pick up their diplomas.
