GOSHEN —
Five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday at the intersection of Ind. 15 and U.S. 20.
Elkhart County police reported late Friday night that one of the passengers was airlifted from the scene and another also suffered serious injury.
Police said the crash occurred at 5:09 p.m. when a 1997 BMW driven by Jacob Mitchell, 30, Mishawaka, collided with a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Laura Ryan, 28, LaGrange.
A front-seat passenger in the Ryan vehicle, Alia Villalobos, 9, LaGrange, suffered a head trauma and was airlifted from the scene. Another passenger, Darwin Villalobos, 2, also suffered a head injury and was transported via ambulance to IU Health Goshen Hospital.
Ryan pain to her entire body. Two other passengers in her vehicle, Kitana Ryan, 9, LaGrange, and George Ryan, 7, LaGrange, suffered pain and bruising. Mitchell was unhurt.
