Wawasee High School has announced the names of the valedictorian and salutatorian for the class of 2012.
The valedictorian is Franklin Robert Dush, Milford, the son of Leland and Mary Dush. He plans to attend Indiana University, where he will major in finance, entrepreneurship and corporate innovation.
His activities and memberships include Distributive Education Clubs of America, Indiana Economics Challenge contestant, chess club, Academic Hall of fame, National Honor Society, Knight of Columbus member and acolyte and lector at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church.
The salutatorian is Sophia Marie Katsaropoulos, Syracuse, the daughter of Stella Zondervan and John and Becky Katsaropoulos. She plans to attend Indiana University, where she will study nursing.
Her activities and memberships include student representative council president, thespian society, vice president, theater, Academic Hall of Fame and National Honor society.
The graduation ceremony will be held June 9 at 10 a.m. at the high school.
