A man with ties to the Nappanee area is being sought in connection with a stabbing in Michigan.
Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reported Friday that his department is investigating a homicide that occurred at 1:30 p.m. that day.
Deputies were sent to the 19000 block of U.S. 12, east of Five Points Road, in Mason Township in response to a stabbing. Police discovered a woman had been fatally stabbed at the home. The victim’s name was not released Friday.
The sheriff said a person of interest has been identified in the investigation. That person is Edward J. Hensley, 59, last known to live in the Nappanee area. He is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 185 pounds, with grey and black hair and mustache possibly wearing a red shirt.
Anyone with information about Hensley is asked to call the Cass County sheriff’s office at 269-445-1560, local law enforcement, or 911.
