In other agreements, the board of works approved a plan to have MC Equipment, doing business at W.A. Jones, to install a truck body and crane on a city truck chassis to be used for sewer lift station work. The Jones bid was $31,985 and will be completed within 60 days.

The board also approved spending up to $300,000 for fabric covers and supporting framework at the wastewater treatment plant’s digester units. The outer covers and a new framework are recommended with an estimated price of up to $300,000 after a methane leak was recently discovered.
