Cruisin’ to Glory getting in gear

GOSHEN — Harvest Community Church will be hosting its seventh annual Cruisin’ to Glory Car Show on Sunday.

In addition to a display of vehicles in the car show, this year’s event will also include a Family Fun Day with a variety of fun activities for kids, including a happy birds water balloon launch, an inflated obstacle course and wagon rides.

Following a brief outdoor church service at 10 a.m., lunch concessions will open and the kids events will begin at 11 a.m. A disc jockey will spin fun cruising tunes while visitors vote on their favorite vehicles in the car show.

Juggler Yoder will take the stage at 12:30 p.m., which will be followed by a Home Run Derby. The event wraps up with a helicopter candy drop at 2 p.m.

Cruisin’ to Glory Family Fun Day is a free event. Car registration for the car show is $5 and the first 60 paid registrants get a free T-shirt.

To register a car, motorcycle or truck, or for more event information, visit www.hccgoshen.org or call Harvest at 574-534-3528. On-site car show registration and free breakfast for car show participants begins at 8 a.m.

Harvest Community Church is located one-quarter mile east of the fairgrounds at 17285 C.R. 34 in Goshen.
