LAGRANGE — A former Howe Military School official has been arrested — again — following an investigation by Indiana State Police.
Andrew J. Majewski, 37, 702 Defiance St., Howe, was arrested on July 10 on felony charges of sexual misconduct with a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and child seduction. According to state police, the arrest was the result of an investigation into allegations Majewski had inappropriate contact with a 14-year-old male student of the school.
Police said that as a continuation of the investigation, Majewski’s personal computer was seized with the assistance of the LaGrange County Sheriff Department. A search warrant was obtained and the State Police Cyber Crime Unit conducted a review of the computer. According to police, that search revealed that numerous images of child pornography existed on the computer.
An arrest warrant was issued out of the LaGrange County Circuit Court for Majewski on three counts of possession of child pornography, all Class D felonies. Majewski turned himself in to the LaGrange County Jail early Wednesday afternoon.
According to media reports, Majewski had been with Howe since 2003, most recently as principal for sixth- through eighth-graders. He had also been a varsity soccer coach.
