Jackson glittery glove in Goshen

Auction house owner on way hand-deliver to winning bider

Goshen native Darren Julien, the owner of Julien’s Auctions, a high-end, celebrity auction house based in Los Angeles, was in town visiting his family Thursday morning.

Julien’s company handled the Nov. 21 auction at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York’s Time Square of Jackson memorabilia, including the glittery glove that Jackson wore when he unveiled his Moonwalk on TV in 1983 at Motown’s 25th-anniversary TV special.

Julien made a quick stop for breakfast this morning, with the glove, before heading to catch a flight to Los Angeles, then on to Hong Kong, where he will deliver the glove to its new owner. The glove sold for $420,000. His family got to get an up close look (no touching of course) at the glove.
