Man arrested for exposing himself at Amish school

WARSAW — Police have arrested a Warsaw man, saying he exposed himself to Amish children at a school.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department officers arrested Darrin Ray Gibbs, 46, 2441 W. C.R. 250 South.

Police said that on Jan. 27 a man went to an Amish school southeast of Nappanee and exposed himself to the children who were outside the school.

Police said they were notified Saturday about the incident and obtained a license plate number of the suspect’s vehicle, which led them to Gibbs. Police said Gibbs has prior convictions for indecent exposure in Michigan, one in 1989 and the other in 1991.

Gibbs was arrested on felony charges of public indecency/indecent exposure and vicarious sexual gratification. His bond was set at $2,000.
