LIGONIER —
An employee of Parker Hannifin Inc. in Ligonier was fatally electrocuted Monday night in a work-related accident at the plant.
According to staff at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, the deceased is Mark Allan Werbianskyj, 55, Elkhart.
Company officials indicated that Werbianskyj was performing routine electrical work at the facility, located at 1201 Gerber St., when he was electrocuted.

“The company is working with our own resources as well as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) to determine what happened,” Ross said.
Work was suspended at the plant for 24 hours following initial report of the fatality. Ross indicated that work would resume at the plant Wednesday morning.
Parker Hannifin is an automobile parts and supplies manufacturer.
