Exhibit focuses on works of children at festival

NAPPANEE — The public is invited to view an exhibit at the Nappanee Public Library that has some “Knee High” photographers showcasing their work.

The second annual Knee High Nappanee photography exhibit, co-sponsored by CVS Pharmacy, will continue at the library throughout October.

Local children were given photography tips, an official “junior photographer” button and a disposable camera before hitting the streets to capture Nappanee’s annual Apple Festival on Sept. 13, according to Jessica Flores, communications assistant for the library. CVS Pharmacy donated processing of the photos and library staff installed the prints in a unique exhibit suspended from the ceiling of the building’s Upper Level Gallery.

The exhibit runs through Oct. 31 during library hours: Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.

For more information, call 574-773-7919, or go to www.nappaneelibrary.org.
