SHIPSHEWANA —
An 8-month-old child was killed early Monday afternoon and three others hurt in a collision between a buggy and semi-trailer north of Shipshewana.
Dead is Jayden LaWayne Schlabach, Shipshewana who suffered severe head injuries.
The crash occurred at 12:17 p.m. on Ind. 120 just west of C.R. 675 West, LaGrange County police reported. A 2001 Freightliner semi tractor and trailer driven by Jerry R. Hendricks of Bronson, Mich., was headed east passing a buggy traveling in the same direction on the shoulder of the roadway.
