CROMWELL —
One man is dead and a woman injured following a double shooting near Cromwell late Thursday.
The death is due to an apparent suicide, Noble County police reported Friday.
Around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Noble County police received a call of a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at 3757 N. 900 West, Cromwell.
At the scene, police discovered the woman had gunshot wounds in the leg and abdomen. She was transported to Parkview Trauma Center in Fort Wayne. Police also found a man inside the residence dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Police said Friday the incident remains under investigation.
