Everence Federal Credit Union donates to local organizations

GOSHEN —

Four local organizations — Center for Community Justice, Church Community Services, Goshen Interfaith Hospitality Network and LaCasa of Goshen Inc. – collectively received $1,200 from Everence Federal Credit Union’s Goshen branches, as part of the credit union’s Rebate for Missions program.

The Center for Community Justice provides support and compensation for victims of crime; aiding in the restoration of offenders; and promoting reconciliation among victims, offenders and the community. Church Community Services provides food and emergency financial assistance, as well as public education and training programs to help people make positive changes toward greater self-sufficiency. Both organizations are located in Elkhart.

Goshen Interfaith Hospitality Network provides shelter and food to homeless families. LaCasa of Goshen Inc., works with individuals and community partners to create opportunities for personal growth, family stability and neighborhood improvement.

Each year, Everence Federal Credit Union tithes 10 percent of its income from the use of its Visa credit cards to church and mission work. In addition to the donations to local community charities through branch offices, a portion of the money is given to one or two national organizations.
