NAPPANEE —
El Cielito Lindo Restaurant, which means “The Beautiful Sky” according to restaurant manager Jorge Flores, recently received the Nappanee Area Chamber of Commerce Beautification Award.
The restaurant opened in early October 2011 at 108 W. Market St. Since that time the owners have done extensive remodeling work to the interior of the restaurant, partitioning off booths for more intimate dining experiences and adding beautiful artwork.
The restaurant is owned by Juan Flores, Esaul Ramirez and Enrique Vargas. They own another location in Rochester and are in the process of opening a third restaurant in Warsaw. Flores said business at the Nappanee location has been great.
“We’ve been busy since the first day we opened,” he said.
The restaurant serves Mexican-style food at lunch and dinner and offers take-out service, too.
El Cielito Lindo serves seafood platters and offers a vegetarian menu that includes spinach enchiladas, vegetarian fajitas and vegetarian burritos.
