Woman hurt in one-vehicle crash
A Syracuse woman was hurt in a one-vehicle crash southwest of Millersburg Saturday.
The mishap occurred at 8:17 a.m. on C.R. 133 south of U.S. 6. Elkhart County police said a 2000 Ford 150 truck by Teri Herman, 49, Syracuse, was headed north on C.R. 133. The vehicle went off the east side of the road, striking a mailbox. The truck then spun across C.R. 133 and went off the west side of the road, sliding through a yard.
Police said Herman suffered neck pain as a result of the crash. She was transported to IU Health Goshen Hospital.
Theft/burglary reports
• An asset protection officer told Goshen police a male stole $285 worth of merchandise from Walmart, 2304 Lincolnway East, Goshen, then fled on foot at approximately 3:10 p.m. Thursday. The Walmart staffer reported that he attempted to apprehend the thief, adding that the merchandise was later recovered due to the man leaving it behind as he fled.
Battery/assault reports
• A Goshen man told Goshen police he was bitten by an 17-year-old boy while at IU Health Goshen Hospital, 200 W. High Park Ave., Goshen, at 7 p.m. Thursday. A case report was taken.
