GOSHEN —
Rain dripped off of crime tape surrounding 1310 West Clinton St. Friday night as police lights lit up the neighborhood.
Police were called around 6:12 p.m. to a shooting on Clinton near Riverside Boulevard, according to a Goshen police press release. Responders found a 44-year-old man shot four times behind his home.
He was airlifted to South Bend from a predesignated site at Grace Community Church.
The victim and witnesses stated the shooting suspect fled the area prior to police arrival, according to the release. The suspect was described as a young black man wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and jeans. Police searched the nearby neighborhood for a suspect.
The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
