Burglary reported to Goshen police

GOSHEN —

David Zehr, 806 S. Sixth St., reported an unknown someone broke a glass door at his residence, entered the home and stole several items at approximately 1 a.m. Sunday.

Attempted home entry

Bobbie Jenkins, 1811 Westplains Drive, Goshen, reported a man attempted to gain entry into the residence at approximately 3:08 a.m. Sunday.

Goshen man arrested

Keegan Roan, 29, Goshen, was arrested on a charge of domestic battery after an incident that occurred between 9 a.m. and 11:02 a.m. Saturday. Roan was arrested and transported to the Elkhart County Jail.

Goshen man arrested

Dennis McGrew, 21, 724 N. Seventh St., Goshen, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication at 913 Wilson Ave. early Sunday morning, according to Goshen police.

It was also discovered that McGrew had a warrant through Goshen City Court. He was arrested on both charges and transported to the Elkhart County Jail, where bond was set at $1,500.

Bristol man arrested

At approximately 1:29 a.m. Sunday, Jesus Rodriguez, 23, 1305 W. Vistula St., Bristol, was stopped near the intersection of C.R. 6 and C.R. 113 in Elkhart during a alcohol task force patrol. He was arrested after refusing to take a breath alcohol test and transported to the Elkhart County Jail.

Unlicensed driver

At approximately 1:28 a.m. Sunday, Goshen police stopped Javier Lecona, 22, 501 S. Third St., Goshen, near the intersection of South Main Street and Gra-Roy Drive. He was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while never having obtained a driver’s license.

Vehicle damaged

Roberto Cruz, 213 Tanglewood Drive, Goshen, reported to Goshen police his vehicle was damaged while parked at his residence sometime between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. Saturday.

Thefts reported

The following theft were recently reported to Goshen police:

• Laura McFarland, 1116 Harvest Drive, Goshen, reported her purse was taken from her unlocked vehicle sometime between 10 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Saturday.

• Maria Najera, 313 E. Lincoln Ave., reported bicycles were stolen.
