Two teens hurt in one-vehicle crash
A one-vehicle crash east of Elkhart Saturday injured two teens.
Elkhart County police said the collision occurred around 5:10 p.m. on Keltner Road north of Penwell Avenue, about a mile east of the city limits. Police reported that a northbound 2002 Honda Civic driven by Martin Olais, 16, Elkhart, went off the road and struck a tree.
Olais suffered a broken femur as a result of the crash and was transported to Elkhart General Hospital. A passenger, Marco Fernandez, 16, Goshen, suffered abdomen and arm pain. He was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
