Four hurt in crash

Four people were injured Sunday morning in a two-car collision at the intersection of C.R.s 3 and 36.

According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle driven by Trenton Jacobs, 16, Goshen, was westbound on C.R. 36 near Wakarusa and reportedly drove through a four-way stop.

Jacob’s vehicle collided with one driven by Karen Myers, 67, Elkhart, who was travelling northbound. Police said that the impact from the collision caused Myers’s vehicle to crash into a utility pole.

Myers complained of back and chest pain and three other passengers in the vehicle with her, Donald Lienhart, 66, Saundra Lienhart, 65, and Helen Lechlitner, 87, all of Goshen, also suffered chest pain.

Collision injures two

A motorcycle crash near U.S. 6 and C.R. 13 at approximately 6:30 Saturday injured both drivers after the cycles crashed into each other.

At least one of the victims was taken to a nearby hospital.

Goshen and Nappanee fire departments assisted at the scene.
