Three drivers injured
Three Goshen drivers were hurt in a rear-end chain-reaction crash at 7:37 a.m. Tuesday in Dunlap.
According to a report by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, Cindy Vance, 54, 1410 Cantebury Court, was driving a 2004 Jeep Liberty northwest on U.S. 33, south of C.R. 13 and was unable to stop for vehicles ahead of her.
The Jeep hit the rear of a 1993 Honda Accord driven by Benjamin Shirk, 33, 1100 E. Monroe St., pushing the Honda into the rear of a 1994 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Shannon Holdeman, 28, 707 Nebraska Drive.
Holdeman had back pain, Shirk had leg pain and Vance had body pain. Damage was estimated at more than $5,000.
Vance was ticketed for following too closely.
Driver jailed after crash
An Elkhart driver was jailed on two charges after leaving the scene of a traffic accident at 8:07 p.m. Monday.
According to a Goshen police report, Rhonda Parkhurst, 37, 23305 Rebecca Drive, Elkhart, was arrested at Pike and Harrison streets at 8:07 p.m. Monday, after a crash at Elkhart and Bashor roads.
She was charged with driving while intoxicated as a Class D felony, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without insurance. She was booked at the county jail. Bond was set at $10,000.
Driver arrested on license violation charge
An Elkhart driver was jailed after a traffic stop at 4:20 p.m. Monday in Concord Township.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, a car driven by Casey Westlake, 33, 23455 Wedgewood Court, Elkhart, was stopped at U.S. 20 and C.R. 17 after the driver disregarded a stop sign.
Westlake was charged with driving after he was convicted of being a habitual traffic violator. He was booked at the county jail and bond was set at $3,000.
Mich. man arrested on drug charge
A Michigan man was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop north of Elkhart at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday.
According to a report by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, Glen A. Geurian, 52, 1025 E. Front St., Buchanan, Mich., was stopped at Ind. 19 and Lakeview Drive early Wednesday. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Class D felony, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was booked at the county jail and held without bond.
Man arrested on alcohol charge
According to a report by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, Javier Hernandez Lopez, 60, 13166 Carver Court, Westfield, was stopped after driving off an exit ramp at Ind. 19 and U.S. 20 at 3:32 p.m. Tuesday.
Lopez reportedly failed a blood-alcohol test, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated and booked at the county jail.

Colt Lundy has entered an agreement to plead guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit murder if other charges are waived.
The 15-year-old Cromwell boy entered the plea Wednesday in Kosciusko County Circuit Court.

David Zehr, 806 S. Sixth St., reported an unknown someone broke a glass door at his residence, entered the home and stole several items at approximately 1 a.m. Sunday.

A Goshen bail bondsmen who was charged with several felony counts after an encounter with the relative of a client in late 2006 was found guilty on six counts after a weeklong jury trial which ended Monday.
