UPDATE: Teens arrested after convenience store burglary

GOSHEN — Goshen police arrested two teenagers Tuesday on charges connected to a burglary of a convenience store early that morning.

Police said they arrested Jeffrey A. Hill, 19, 210 W. Douglas St., Goshen, and a 17-year-old male.

Police had been called to the BP gasoline station, 224 N. Main St., on a burglary call after an alarm sounded around 3:30 a.m.  Police said someone had broken into the building and stolen packages of cigarettes. Police did not find the suspects in the building but did arrest them later.

Police said they also arrested Hill in connection with a strong-arm robbery that occurred at 210 W. Douglas St. on Jan. 7. In that incident two 19-year-old males reported they were robbed at that address.

Hill was arrested on charges of robbery resulting in injury and burglary. The 17-year-old was arrested on charges of burglary, being a runaway and illegal consumption of alcohol.
