A Goshen High School student was taken into custody by Goshen police on battering another student, intimidating a school employee and damaging school property at 1:05 p.m. Wednesday. The student was also found to be in possession of a knife while in custody. The student was placed in the Elkhart County Juvenile Detention Center pending a hearing. The student was arrested on charges of battery, intimidation, criminal mischief and possession of a knife on school property.

Three arrested after cars entered

Two adults and one juvenile were taken into custody early Thursday after more than 15 vehicles were broken into overnight near North Webster. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department detectives arrested Michael Alan Rockey, 18, Cromwell, and Ryan D. Silliman, 19, North Webster, on preliminary charges of felony theft, according to a report from police. A 14-year-old was also taken into custody and taken to the Pierceton Woods Juvenile Center for detainment.

Detectives stated that approximately 15 to 20 vehicles had been entered overnight in the general area located on the south side of Webster Lake. Officers confirmed that at least 10 of the vehicles had items taken, which included cellular phones, GPS electronic devices and power tools. The investigation is ongoing at this time, according to police. The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office along with the North Webster Police Department assisted county officers with the investigation.

Crash reports

• Two drivers and a passenger were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday at 4:52 p.m. on Ind. 120 and C.R. 21.

Austin Troxell, 17, of Bristol, was driving a four-door 2000 Isuzu westbound on Ind. 120, east of C.R. 21. Troxell looked down at the radio to change the station. When he looked at the road, there was a 2002 Ford Taurus driven by Santana Mullins, 38, of Bristol, stopped and waiting to make a left-turn on Ind. 120, west of C.R. 21. Troxell turned south (left) crossing the center line and struck Mullins’ vehicle. Mullins was transported to Elkhart General Hospital an ankle injury and complaint of pain in her chest and entire right leg. Troxell’s passenger, Timothy Kidd, 14, of Bristol, was transported for complaint of pain in the chest, laceration to the right arm and a nose injury. Troxell was transported for complaint of pain in the right wrist and a headache and was cited for driving left of center.

Theft/burglary reports

•  Greg Morris, and Rosalea Janney, residents at 2400 College Ave., Goshen, reported to Goshen police Wednesday someone stole cash from their belongings at approximately 2 p.m. Saturday.

• James Horning, 610 E. Jefferson St., Goshen, told Goshen police someone gained entry to his residence and stole his prescription drugs at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

• Susan Juarez, 714 S. 11th St., Goshen, reported a theft of jewelry from her residence to Goshen police Thursday. The items were stolen at approximately 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• Stephanie Mullins, 68260 C.R. 23, New Paris, reported to Elkhart County police someone stole a television and two laptop computers from her residence through an unlocked back door between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Vandalism reports

•  Ronald Young, 113 S. Sixth St., Goshen, told Goshen police someone broke a window in his residence at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday.

OWI arrests

•  Clifford R. Perillo, 28, of Bristol, was stopped for traffic violations on C.R. 6 at C.R. 9 by Elkhart County police at 11:43 p.m. Wednesday. Perillo was arrested after failing a field sobriety test at the scene and an evaluation at the department.
