Julia Politowicz, Bloomington, and David Samolczyk, Indianapolis, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jeryl Sturgis, LaGrange, and Gregory Politowicz, Fayetteville, N.C.

She graduated from Jimtown High School, Elkhart. She is a student at Indiana University, Bloomington, enrolled in the cytotechnology program at Indiana Medical Center, Indianapolis.

The groom-to-be is the son of Colleen and Michael Samolczyk, Wakarusa.

He graduated from Marian High School, Mishawaka. He is a physical therapy rehabilitation technician student at Bloomington Hospital, Bloomington.

An Aug. 21 wedding is planned at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen.
