ELKHART —
Ruthmere’s Spring Culture Series performance Friday will feature a violin concert by Elspeth Stalter, a recent Goshen College graduate.
A violin performance major, concert master of the orchestra and two-time winner of the Goshen College Concerto Aria Competition, Stalter will be performing works by Hindemith, Dvorak, Grieg and Massanet. The performance will be held in the Ruthmere Museum game room at 302 East Beardsley in Elkhart.
Concert-goers are invited to view main floor rooms of the mansion prior to or following the 6 p.m. concert, and light refreshments will be served. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Charlie Daniels Band coming to Shipshewana
He’s got the hat, the fiddle and the hits. And he’s feeling revitalized.
In a recent telephone interview with The Goshen News, 74-year-old Charlie Daniels said he is feeling like a new man after his pacemaker procedure earlier this year. He says everything is in sync and he is having a great time on the road.
“I’m enjoying this tour and we are looking forward to making music in Indiana,” the country-rock icon said. -

Country musician Kris Kristofferson is scheduled to perform at The Lerner Theater, 410 S. Main St., Aug. 10. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30. -
