ELKHART —
Nicholas Roth will perform a solo piano recital at Ruthmere Mansion, 302 E. Beardsley, Elkhart, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m.
Roth’s show will be the final performance in the Fall Concert Series. The program will include works by Beethoven, Verdi/Liszt, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Charles Tomlinson Griffes and L.M. Gottschalk.
Roth is an Elkhart native. He began his formal studies at age 12 and has performed in the United States and across the globe. He is an associate professor of piano at Drake University.
The concert will take place in the Game Room at Ruthmere and begins at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. so attendees can view the main floor rooms of the museum prior to the concert. Light refreshments will be served following the concert.
Tickets are $10 for Ruthmere members or $20 for non-members. Call 264-0330 to reserve tickets.

Elkhart Civic Theatre show headed to national competition
The Elkhart Civic Theatre production of “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” won six awards at the American Association of Community Theatres (AACT) Region III Festival in Hartford, Wis., April 19 to 21.
