The fifth annual “Lights Out at the Library” event takes place at the Milford Public Library Halloween night.
This year the theme is “Haunted Art Museum — Where Art Comes to Life.” Visitors should enter the library at the Main Street doors beginning at 6 p.m. The “Lights Out” program ends at 8 p.m. The public is invited to attend the familiy-oriented event.
Tour guides (museum night watchmen) will take visitors through the library to see each work of art as it “comes to life.” Featured works of art will include Degas’ “Ballerinas,” “Whistler’s Mother” and “George Washington Crossing the Delaware.” Every child completing the tour gets a bag full of goodies before leaving the library. The tour takes about 10 minutes from start to finish. Photos can be taken with one of the living statues.
