BRISTOL —
The Elkhart Civic Theatre team has announced its first ECTeam Production (youth theater) of the 2012-13 season, “Ramona Quimby.” The play is being directed by Annette Dilworth Kaczanowski and assisted by Madeline Williams.
According to a Civic Theatre synopsis, Ramona Quimby can be many things — unpredictable, exasperating, boisterous and independent. She can be counted on to aggravate her older sister, Beezus, get into trouble, and sometimes make “a big, noisy fuss” when things don’t go her way.
Ramona’s older sister Beezus narrates, introducing the audience to the Quimby family and friends and setting the scene for the collection of vignettes that trace Ramona’s tumultuous passage through third grade and her family relationships.
“Ramona Quimby” will be performed Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m., with a Sunday afternoon show at 3 p.m., at the Bristol Opera House. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens age 62 and older. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the ticket office at 574-848-4116 Monday through Friday from 1 to 5:30 p.m. or ordered online at wwww.elkhartcivictheatre.org.
