Have track, will travel.

Motor sports will be highlighted at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair in the coming days.

Tractor and truck pulls are scheduled all day today at the fair’s grandstand track area.

On Saturday, motorcycle race practice begins at 11 a.m. on the grandstand track. Racing action begins at 1:30 p.m.

Also Saturday, the annual demolition derby starts at 7 p.m. on the grandstand track.

Seating in the grandstands is free for all three of these events.

A more stationary automotive experience also takes place on the fair’s final Saturday. Corvette show judging is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. in the Swine Barn.

‘Family Fun Day’

In other fair news, Friday has been designated a “Family Fun Day,” with gate admission $6 all day. Midway rides are open from 3 to 11 p.m.
