Some people don’t see the danger to United States

I never thought that I would hear one of our leaders, let alone our president, go to other countries and apologize for us and policies we have pursued. We have been the first to respond to any part of the world when a country and their people have been threatened by disaster, whether natural or man made and whether that country is friend or foe. Apparently, Michelle Obama was serious when she stated that for the first time in her adult life she was proud to be an American. It also seems that Barack Obama was influenced by Jeremiah Wright more than he has ever admitted to. I would hope that President Obama does not stoop to apologizing to the families of the 911 terrorists for the loss the terrorists’ lives in the attacks.

Some people don’t seem to grasp the danger to America and to all freedom-loving people around the world if detainees at Guantanamo Bay are released en masse. Many of these detainees have a clear hate for Americans and Jews and have made it well known that their goal is to kill as many as possible. Several, who have been released, have been found in Iraq attempting to kill our troops again. God has used many nations and people to thwart evil almost since time began. War is not pleasant to any peace-loving people. However, many times it becomes necessary to prevent even greater bloodshed. Many in our country, including our president, would rather kill an innocent unborn or partially born baby than to execute a convicted murderer. It is hard to believe that our America has gone this low in its attitude toward innocent human life. As a local church sign asks, “Is God pleased with your vote on moral issues?”
