Rep. Joe Donnelly and Sen. Evan Bayh must listen to the needs of the people of Indiana when it comes to health care reform and not rush to judgment because of an election half way across the country.
Despite the loss of one vote for health care reform in the Senate, Hoosiers are still suffering from the lack of adequate, affordable health care. There are hundreds of thousands of people right here in Indiana who would find themselves on the brink of financial collapse if they were to fall victim to illness or injury.
Rep. Donnelly and Sen. Bayh have supported reform throughout this very difficult debate, and for that they deserve our thanks and praise. Despite the new roadblock, the fight is not yet finished. Continue to urge your elected officials to do what is right and make reform a reality.
