A sweet fund-raiser

THE GOSHEN NEWS

The South Bend Chocolate Co. is coming to Goshen General Hospital Feb. 12 and 13 — just in time to spoil a loved one on Valentine’s Day.

The public is invited to the chocolate sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 12 and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 13 in the main lobby of Goshen General Hospital, 200 High Park Ave., Goshen. All South Bend Chocolate Co. Valentine’s Day goodies will be available, including Cupid Crunch and Valentine pretzels. There will be special Valentine’s Day gifts, heart boxes, gold foil boxes and gift baskets, along with many other South Bend Chocolate Co. favorites.

Proceeds from the chocolate sale will benefit the Goshen Hospital Auxiliary.

The Goshen General Hospital Auxiliary is an organization of men and women who provide valuable services to the hospital. Throughout the year, the Goshen General Hospital Auxiliary sponsors a number of projects and fund-raising events throughout the year. Profits generated from events, as well as through the Maple Corner Gift Shop, are returned to the hospital in the form of donated equipment and specialty items.

The auxiliary has donated equipment in excess of $1 million in value. Recent donations include a mammography unit valued at $70,000, a hand-held ultrasound at $25,000, and $13,000 in pediatric resource books for new mothers.

Volunteers are welcome to join the auxiliary at any time during the year. For more information, contact the Goshen General Hospital Volunteer Office at 535-2633.
