Goshen man wins $1 million on Hoosier Lottery scratch-off

Bradley Lang used winnings from other tickets to purchase the $1 million prize

A few errands turned into $1 million for a Goshen man Friday.

Bradley Lang went to the bank, stopped at Arby’s and then popped into a 7-11 in South Bend to cash in some winning lottery tickets. While he was there, he used his winnings to purchase two more tickets, including a $10 Million Cash Spectacular scratch-off. That $10 investment paid off, as Lang won $1 million on the ticket, according to Indiana lottery officials. He cashed his winning ticket in Hoosier Lottery headquarters in Indianapolis Monday.

Lang is originally from South Bend where he works as a contract employee in manufacturing quality control, according to a release from the lottery. He has two grown sons and four grandchildren.  He plans to proceed carefully and already has an appointment with a financial advisor.

He is the sixth person to claim a $1 million prize on the $10 game. Two top prizes of $1 million remain unclaimed at this time.

The $80 Million Cash Spectacular Scratch-off is one of four Hoosier Lottery Scratch-offs offering a top prize of at least $1 million. The game, which launched in January 2010, is designed to pay out $80 million in instant prizes.

To date, the $80 Million Cash Spectacular Scratch-off’s million-dollar winners have been in Boswell, Greencastle, Portage, Muncie, Orleans and South Bend.
