The public is invited to the the 10th Annual Town of Wakarusa Car and Motorcycle Show Saturday June 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Wakarusa.
Corey Ryman will be in attendance and unveiling the new “scheme” of his freshly painted late model race car. Ryman has been racing since 2004 and has seen much success, gaining one championship and two rookie of the year awards, as well as many race victories. He started out in mini stocks where he had almost instant success, getting his first victory in his fourth start. Corey was able to move up to the late model division in 2006 and has been racing late models ever since.
Utilimaster will also showcase their new production models. The Wakarusa Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Wakarusa Lion’s Club for this event and offering Nelson’s chicken dinners for $8 in the downtown park. Each car show registrant receives one free chicken dinner.
Everyone who attends is invited to vie for the prizes in the Tire Changing and Creeper Race Contests. Jenkin’s Automotive/NAPA representative Dave Fox will be choosing the “major sponsor” award along with awards in 10 additional categories and the $200 Best of Show prize.
