Pringle Park pavilion scorched by fire

GOSHEN — Several trash cans were reportedly lit on fire in Pringle Park late Thursday evening.

According to Goshen police, five trash cans were lit on fire at Pringle Park, 1902 Pringle Park Drive, Goshen, at 10:40 p.m., resulting in two damaged cans. A portion of the pavilion column was scorched, police said, but did not appear damaged. Police noted that a trash can was also lit on fire at 201 Pringle Drive, Goshen, destroying the trash can.

Semi fires

Police are currently investigating an incident of two semi trailers on fire in Elkhart Thursday evening.

According to Elkhart County police, fire and police personnel were dispatched to 24526 C.R. 45 at 11 p.m. Thursday in reference to two semi trailers being on fire.

A fire investigation is currently being conducted.
