GOSHEN —
Goshen police are seeking a man who robbed a convenience store clerk at gunpoint this morning.
The incidence occurred shortly before 6 a.m. Police responded to an armed robbery call at 7-Eleven at 1000 S. Main St., Goshen. There, police spoke to a store clerk who said a white male entered the store and asked for cigarettes before demanding money from the register.
The man then displayed a handgun and pointed it at the employee, according to police. After the robber was given the money, he fled the store. No one was injured.
Police conducted a search of the area around 7-Eleven as information from the employee was relayed to additional officers. No one matching the robber’s description was found.
The robber is described as a white male between the age of 30 and 40, with a dark auburn goatee and freckles. He is between 6 feet 1 inch and 6 feet 4 inches in height, with a large build. He was wearing blue jeans, a dark hooded sweatshirt and black shoes at the time of the robbery, police reported.
