GOSHEN —
From “Up Around The Bend” to the Goshen fairgrounds.
Creedence Clearwater Revisited will revisit the Elkhart County 4-H Fair this summer. A crowd favorite during a prior gig here, the circa 2013 CCR will perform July 20 — the first Saturday of fair week — on the grandstand stage.
Showtime is 8 p.m. Grandstand seating is free. Ticket prices for reserved track seating will be announced at a later date. CCR tickets will go on sale May 18.
The Creedence show was scheduled to be announced at the Wednesday night meeting of the Elkhart County 4-H Fair Board.
Creedence Clearwater Revisited is a reboot of Creedence Clearwater Revival, a group with chart hits including “Proud Mary,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Fortunate Son,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Down on the Corner” and “Who’ll Stop the Rain?”
Creedence Clearwater Revisited retains bassist Stu Cook and Doug “Cosmo” Clifford from the classic Revival line-up. Singer/songwriter/guitarist John Fogerty is now a solo artist.
In addition to the CCR show, the Elkhart County Fair’s 2013 concert schedule also includes:
• Jason Crabb — July 21
• Florida Georgia Line with Rachel Farley — July 22
• Vince Gill — July 23
Showtimes are at 8 p.m. Tickets for all concerts go on sale May 18.
The Elkhart County 4-H Fair will run from July 19 to 27.
