May 5 deadline to register for town-wide garage sales

MILLERSBURG, Ind — Millersburg will host a town-wide garage sale May 17, beginning at 7 a.m.

A registration fee of $15 will place the resident’s sale on a flier and map of all garage sale locations, which will be made available in local establishments.

Registration forms are available at Jesse’s Little Store and Pizza Depot.

The deadline for all registration forms is May 5. All paid entries will be put into a random drawing for a $50 gift certificate from any Millersburg business or may be used toward a person’s water utility bill.

Proceeds will go to Friends of the Park.

Garret Lash benefit



A benefit hog roast, silent and live auction for Garrett Lash’s medical expenses will take place Saturday at the Noble County Fairgrounds, Kendallville.

Dinner will begin at 4 p.m., with a silent auction and live auction at 7 p.m.

Garrett is the son of Angie and Heath Lash, Albion, and the grandson of Deb and John Stabler, Ligonier.

The event is sponsored by Thrivent Ministries to provide monetary assistance to help pay medical expenses for the child.

Benefit accounts for the family are at Community State Bank and Professional Federal Credit Union branches in Noble and Elkhart counties.

Congratulations to Mackenze Kiser, Michael Chupp, Kathy Slabach and Logan Zamora for reading 500 books this year.

The spring music program for grades four through six has been changed to May 12 instead of the previous date of Monday.
