Funeral services for Staff Sgt. Travis K. Hunsberger will take place at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Nappanee Missionary Church.
The Rev. Paul Commons of Wakarusa Missionary Church will officiate and will be assisted by Daryl Kauffman, Hunsberger’s uncle.
The body will lie in state at the church Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m.
Burial will be in Sand Hill State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake, N.C.
Hunsberger, 24, 5221 Flatrock Drive, Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, N.C., formerly of Wakarusa, died Friday at 7:25 p.m. in Lamay, Afghanistan. He was killed by an improvised explosive device while on foot during a patrol.
